At the request of the Walkway Over the Hudson organization, who was holding a marathon event in Poughkeepsie, the Alliance took on the task of improving an existing welcome sign at the western entrance to the City of Poughkeepsie, as people enter from Rt. 9 and the Mid-Hudson Bridge, so that marathoners, and other visitors to Poughkeepsie, would know they had arrived at the right place.
