The Champion’s Walk at Corey Ingram Circle, Poughkeepsie, NY was the recipient of the 2024 American Institute of Architects (AIANYS) Design Pro Bono Project Citation. MASS Design Group partnered with the City of Poughkeepsie, the Poughkeepsie Alliance, social activists, and civic leaders to develop a new gateway to mark the northern entrance to the city. An illuminated ring of Corten steel bollards, and legacy lanterns embedded with images and biographies of local leaders commemorate narratives of activism and leadership especially for the Northside of Poughkeepsie.
